After a year long process involving the work of many members of our community, Fr. Joe has approved a renovation project that will result in the opening of a parish Children’s Center. This center, located in the Ministry Building, will be used for Religious Education classes, the Sunday Children’s Liturgy and other children’s ministries. The renovation will result in a beautiful outdoor playground, remodeled classrooms, secure fencing, and renovated restrooms for children and adults.
We are excited to announce that this Children’s Center will also be home to St. Philip the Apostle School’s two new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classes!
The TK classes will be a part of the school program making St. Philip the Apostle a TK through 8th grade school. Additional information about the TK program is available here on our website, in the TK menu link above. Any families interested in applying for the TK program can do so through the application process here on website, under admissions.
On Tuesday, January 30th at 7 pm there will be an informational meeting in Holy Angel Hall. All families interested in learning more about the TK program are invited.
We want to thank Fr. Joe for his leadership and vision. Our Parish Children’s Center will be part of the lives of generations of children to come. There were so many people instrumental in making this dream a reality. We also want to especially thank Gina Cockriel and Nicole Anido, David Landa, the parish Building and Grounds and Finance Committees, and the Pastoral Council. All of these people worked so hard to ensure that our parish continues to move forward in meeting the needs of our community.
