Dear Parishioners and Parents, Our parish is at a defining moment—a time that calls us to look beyond the present and act as stewards for the generations who will follow. *DATE CHANGED FROM FEB.23➡️to March 2* On March 2, the City Council will make its final decision regarding the proposed Trammell Crow / Caltech building at the corner of Green and Holliston — directly beside our church, school, and homes. The size and scope of this corporate R&D lab facility raise serious concerns. The project exceeds long-established neighborhood height limits, and moves forward without a full environmental review. As a result, concerns regarding traffic, school safety, neighborhood compatibility, and the impact on our parish have not been fully examined. We support innovation and responsible economic growth. At the same time, we have a responsibility to speak when decisions affect our children, our neighbors, and the sacred space where we worship. This decision extends beyond a single neighborhood. Pasadena has invested years in developing thoughtful growth standards through extensive community input. How those standards are applied here will help shape how future development affects other neighborhoods with schools, churches, and homes across our city. The March 2 hearing is our final opportunity to share our perspective before the vote. I respectfully ask you to make your voice heard.
