a home-away-from-home for young adults
Praised be Jesus Christ! The Newman Center is a vibrant Catholic home-away-from-home for students and young adults aged 18 to 39. Our mission is to walk alongside you and offer a place to receive the sacraments, deepen your understanding of the Catholic faith, and build friendships through service and social life.
Our community is built upon four transformative pillars: Prayer, Small Groups, Spiritual Direction, and Outreach. Whether you arrive with many questions or simply to find a place to be, our goal is to help you, as a beloved Child of God, flourish in your faith and build a strong foundation for a Christ-centered life.
What do we offer?
We invite you to join us for any of our regular gatherings:
- Sunday Candlelight Mass: Every Sunday at 7 PM, accompanied by the young adult choir and the organ. Followed by an evening of fellowship or a talk.
- Newman Nights: A monthly gathering consisting of a guest lecturer, Mass, and dinner.
- First Friday Adoration: A quiet time for prayer and reflection before the Blessed Sacrament.
- Young Adult Socials: Events specifically tailored for those in their 20s and 30s.
- Campus Outreach: Special events hosted for students at Pasadena City College, Caltech, Fuller Seminary, and beyond!
Our pastor and chaplains are also readily available to offer Spiritual Direction, providing personal guidance and formation.
